This blog documents some of the finished work I have made out of yarn, felt and fabrics and paper. This items were made either as a gift, practice or shop item I sold in my business. I currently have the skills to design and sell, but I want to take it to the next level by learning from professionals who will educate me beyond just making and selling. The critical thinking process of what I do, the sustainability and ethical issues around textile practice. My knowledge has been confined as most of what I have learnt has been self- acquired knowledge, teaching myself the craft from online sources. My textile practice would focus on the use of yarns to design knit/ crochet wears and accessories , and other accessories like lapel pins and brooches. I would like to design my own yarns as well as and proceed in the future to design jewelries with the use of African fabrics and many more.
